Frequently Asked Questions
What are your prices?
We charge a flat per-foot price for the majority of our job sites. We make every attempt to remain competitive in the industry and are constantly working to keep prices low for our contractors. Over-height work, windows, and other special features may have an additional charge to accommodate for the extra time required to perform the work.

How long does taping take?
The taping process typically takes 5 business days. If there is no heat in the building it can take longer.
Do you need heat for drying? If so, do you provide it?
Heat is required to dry the mud. Contractors typically are required to provide the heat, but arrangements can be made if required. Additional charges may be incurred if T.D.G. The Drywall Guy Inc. provides the fuel for the heaters.
How many years experience do you have?
Cory Filgate, the owner of T.D.G. The Drywall Guy Inc., has been working with drywall for over 22 years. His crew of professional boarders and tapers have various years of experience, but all meet Cory's rigorous standards of quality.
Who else have you worked for?
We would be happy to provide you with a list of references. Please feel free to contact us for that information.

Who is responsible for removing the scraps from the job site?
T.D.G. The Drywall Guy Inc. provides scrap removal as a standard part of our complete drywall installation service. We clean them up and recycle them for you.
Will I be charged extra for scrap removal?
No, scrap removal is included in our flat per-foot rate that we charge.
What happens if a homeowner wants a change after the drywall is finished?
Changes are commonplace in the world of custom houses. When a change is required, simply contact us and we will schedule the crew to complete the additional work as soon as possible (depending on availability).
Any time a change is made, it may add up to 5 additional working days to the estimated completion time, depending on the amount of drywall mud coats required and the drying time between them.
Note: There may be additional charges incurred, depending on the change requested and the length of time it takes to complete it.
What types of corners are available?
Choose from square, round (various sized radius are available), or chamfered corners for your walls and windows.
What type of drywall do you recommend for water?
We have done a lot of testing and found that Denshield works better than green board for repelling water.
Are you insured?
We have your job site covered with Work Safe BC (Worker's Compensation) insurance.
