People Are Talking

The Drywall Guy was our contractor for our major house renovation in November 2008. He is honest, efficient, on time, on schedule and overall a pleasure to deal with.

His knowledge of his trade, high skill level, commitment to excellence and his integrity with his customers and fellow workers is why I would recommend him for the job.

Sincerely,
Rob and Kelly

Who We Are

Cory Filgate started the company back in 1995 to service the custom housing market in Sooke, British Columbia.

Right from the start T.D.G. The Drywall Guy followed the concept of being fair — fair pricing for customers, fair wages for employees, fair treatment for everyone. This refreshing concept, as well as their dedication to quality workmanship, won the company the preferred vendor position for several custom home builders in the area.

T.D.G. The Drywall Guy became incorporated in 2006 to meet the growing demands of the business.

We currently have a crew of 5 to meet all your boarding and taping needs.

Our Commitment to You

We are constantly working to keep rates as low as possible, without sacrificing the quality of our work. Our goal is to get the job done on budget and on time, every time.

To get a quote on your next project, simply complete the form on the home page and we would be happy to measure the project and provide you with an estimate.

Continuing Service

As a contractor, you know that building a house means dealing with unexpected obstacles on a daily basis. We understand that homeowners often change their mind on the placement of electrical outlets and lighting fixtures after the fact. Buildings also shrink and move as they dry and settle.

If you are in need of a touch-up, drywall patch, or a larger change, we are happy to provide that service. Depending on the amount of work required, a small fee may be applied for call backs.

Unique Approach to Staffing

People are what make a business successful, especially when you are talking about drywall - where quality shows. That's why we invest in our workers and provide them with the tools, training, and security they need to succeed.

Our employees are on payroll and are paid by the hour, not by the foot like high ball subcontractors. We train apprentices through the ranks and encourage them to learn all aspects of the trade. We provide incentives for getting the job done right.

As a contractor, you will get to know our crew and will see the same people job site after job site. Consistency and quality are obtained when a crew works together year-after-year.
